Chapter 61. Can He Be My Daddy?

Emma’s POV

I wake up the next morning and the small bed is cold beside me. Panic rushes through my chest when I realize that Ezra is gone.

“Ezra,” I yell out loudly. But he doesn’t answer me. He is no longer in his room.

I look at the tiny clock that hangs on his wall. It is eight o’clock. Hopefully Ezra is down stairs eating breakfast. I rush from his room and down the stairs, quickly making my way into the dinning room. It is empty. More panic spreads throughout my chest as I search the room for an indication that anyone has been there.
