Ethan’s POV

Alpha Thomas and I are escorted out of the hospital with our heads hung in shame, like two kids that just got sent to the principal’s office. As we exit the hospital Alpha Thomas immediately perks up. “So, where are we going now?”

“We aren’t going anywhere,” I hiss at him. “I am going to visit my son.”

Alpha Thomas continues to be chatty as we walk across the street to the Paxton Pack house.

“What is your issue?” I spit at him just as we enter the pack house.

“Just trying to make conversation,” Alpha Thomas shrugs his shoulders.

I shake my head in disbelief. Could this man really be this stupid? “Pardon me, Alpha,” I approach him in a formal tone. “But haven’t we tried to kill each other more than once today?”

“That doesn’t mean we can’t be friends,” he beams at me.

“You have got to be kidding me,” I laugh at him. “As long as you are here we can’t be friends.”
