Chapter 33. Denying Robby a Chance

Ayana’s POV

I mean, when? When did this start? How? How did this even happen? I have never engaged him in deeper or dirty conversations. Everything was done within the margins of professionalism and within the bounds that we have. I never saw this coming, so how on earth did we get here?

“I will assume I didn’t hear that, Robby!” I speak.

He challenges, “No, you did, Ayana! And you heard it right! I am sorry that you have to find out the truth this way and in the midst of all that is going on, but I need to come out clean,” he says, taking another step and sealing the tiny gap that was between us.

This is wrong. This is insane! This is so damn wrong!

“Being your student was the only way to get into you. I am here because I love you, and I want to help you and Lyana out of this. I am that man that.”
