Chapter 35. Confronting the Family
Ayana’s POV
“Miss,” another guard decides to snap me from my thoughts. “They must be getting tired of waiting,” he says, slowly nodding his head to usher me in and perhaps tell me that that was not said in a bad way.
And I think it is not good to keep the majesties waiting, nor my fuming self. After a nod, appreciating the guards, I stamp my fast step inside, slow, as I try to wait and see what memories I will get of this mansion after so many years.
But I walk, step after another, and except for the cold aura and the bittersweet memories of the last moment I was here that slapped me, my body is resistant to anything else. No good memories have a spot in my heart. Nadah!
All I can remember as I stroll inside is that last day when all hell broke loose. It was the darkest day of my life. That ugly day, this family and the world showed me the most ugly side. Turning their backs on me. That day, I was made to make this choice that I am so regretting right
