Without another word, I hurried away with Mendy, who still had her head dipped into a deep bow.

“You seem to fear that man, Arthur?” I asked, gaze fixed straight ahead as I recall the man’s nasty expression when he saw me earlier.

Only a fool would miss his disdain and dissatisfaction towards me, so it was very apparent that he knew who I was, but intentionally wanted to make trouble with me.

Sure enough, there will always be some people who would be dissatisfied with me. Although I had expected it, I still felt an unfamiliar sense of loss.
