Raymond’s POV
“Did you confirm any traces of struggle or battle, or was it a clean scene?” I asked the guard coldly, but he merely shook his head in response.
“None. It was as if the man had simply fallen and died, but the wounds on his body said otherwise.” He answered, his tone grim.
“The body couldn’t have fallen from the skies, could it?” I intoned, and the guard lowered his head. “And what do you mean when you say the wounds on his body?”
“Alpha, the wounds seemed to be afflicted by a wild animal, and not quite at the same time. It’s confusing.”
Before he even finished speaking, I was already on my feet, striding forward with a dark visage.
“Lead the way.”
“Yes, my lord. The corpse has been sent to the Physician’s private sanatorium for examinations.”
