Madison’s POV

The voice struck with the force of a blade. I didn’t have to raise my head to see the despisal and scorn in their eyes.

Mendy quickly walked closer, before turning to address the crowd, “You people are too much, you are all just jealous.” She snapped with her lips pressed into a thin line.

I pinched her secretly to have her stop speaking, but it was already too late.

A woman scoffed, “Why would we be jealous? She won’t be happy for long.”

Another woman spoke up with a boisterous laugh, “Does she think she has the final say just because she is Alpha Raymond’s mate? Dream on!”

“Alpha Raymond is an exceptional man, and he has a queue of women waiting for him to choose from as his mistress.”

“Sooner or later, she will fade into the background.”
