Chapter 21. Accusation
Madison’s POV
I pursed my lips, “Didn’t you say…”
The old woman turned around to walk back into the dilapidated hut, “I do have a cure. But are you sure you are willing to take the cure I have?” She asked softly, before adding. “If you cannot, then take it as if I do not have a cure.”
I clenched my fists, thinking about what she had just said.
My last hope lies with the cure she has, I had nowhere to go in search of help. Moreover, Alex might not be able to make it back on time.
Gripping the fabric of my dress, I asked, “Can I trust you?”
The old woman did not reply, and simply said, “I shall bring the cure.”
With that said, she disappeared into the dark hut, leaving me to wait outside anxiously. I could only pray to the goddess at this point.
Just as I became impatient, the old woman walked out from the hut slowly, and I couldn’t help but rush over.
“How is it? Did you bring it?” I questioned.
“My lady sure is anxio
