Madison’s POV
“Alec, if you can, please have a maid prepare some boiling water and bring it here for me.” I requested curtly.
“As you wish.”
Alec’s expression remained impassive as he withdrew, leaving me with Lucia.
I clapped lightly, “Lucia, shall we commence our task?”
Lucia straightened her posture, “Yes my lady.”
“Make sure your hands are properly cleansed, and please keep in mind the precise steps I instructed you on earlier. We cannot afford to make a single mistake during the preparation.”
Lucia bowed slightly, her face solemn and grave, “I will have that in mind, my lady.”
Her acknowledgment earned her an approving nod from me.
