Chapter 72. Dissatisfaction
Madison’s POV
Amara gave me an odd glance, and the color of her eyes seemed to shift once again. But this time, I was no longer surprised.
Instead, Cecil exclaimed softly, but he quickly regained his composure.
Until she let out a goofy smile, “Let’s have this discussion inside.”
Amara turned back into the hut. Cecil and I exchanged a glance, before we followed her inside after some hesitation.
The hut was eerily dark, so dark that I almost could not see my fingers. Cecil and I stood still, until a lamp flickered with a subtle light.
Then, another lit up and in a few seconds, the hut became brightly lit.
“Make yourself comfortable.” Amara said.
My gaze scanned the hut, and I took in the sight of several vials, and bottles of several sizes. The scent of medicine clung to each corner of the room, and I could even see a stove in a far corner of the room.
