Chapter 77. Casualty
Raymond’s POV
Smoke rings rose into the atmosphere, and the air thickened with the smell of blood and metal. Bodies laid sprawled on the ground, with different body parts scattered across the earth.
Blood flowed like water, and occasional grunts of pain sounded all around.
Some warriors supported each other, while some carried the intact corpse of their comrades towards the direction of the infirmary for their treatment.
It was a massive, and a definitely well-planned rogue attack, and we would have lost if not for my timely arrival. I did not know that things had already escalated to such an extent, and our warriors had almost been unable to hold on.
However, despite our efforts, our opponents had still managed to escape.
