Raymond’s POV
“What do you mean by that?” I asked Whitmore coldly, my fist clenching by my sides at the implication of what he had just said.
Whitmore glanced at Grace, who quickly walked out with a pale expression.
“My lord, we invited the Luna to help us in concocting the healing herbs for the injured warriors, and we have already started the work when we run out of supply for a particular herb which was very crucial. Lady Madison proposed to get the herb, and we have initially refused until she promised to employ the help of some warriors to retrieve the herbs.” She fell silent, lowering her head.
My anger threatened to erupt, but I controlled myself, knowing fully well that it was of no use.
