Madison’s POV
Raymond and I paused for a few seconds before reacting.
“An attack?” I wondered in shock.
How come? Was it an attack from the rogues or from opposing packs?
For no particular reason, I suddenly felt uneasy. A bad premonition appeared in my mind, making me flustered.
I felt as if something bad was going to happen, but the feeling seemed subtle.
Raymond quickly stood up, he struggled to stand firmly, and I reached out to support him.
Having slept for so long, his body was slightly weak, and even his eyelids were heavy, a sign that he still needed to rest for a while longer.
“Raymond, why don’t you rest for a while longer? Alec should be able to handle it, until you are back on your feet.” I suggested, worried about his well-being.
Raymond, however, shook his head, “No. Even if Alec is able to deal with this, I still need to go and check things out personally.” He insisted firmly.
