“Where are you taking me?” I cried, but I did not dare to struggle too much because of the pain on my back.

The two guards refused to say a word in response, and maintained their stoic expressions as if I were not referring to them.

After a while, they finally stopped in front of the kitchen, where Lady Vee and Mara were already waiting patiently.

The guards pushed me to the ground, and I winced in pain of having my knees graze the floor. I bit my lips to stop myself from making a sound, and raised my head to see Lady Vee staring down at me without any expression on her beautiful face.
