Chapter 82. Order

Madison’s POV

A searing pain shot through my body, and I groaned in pain, feeling as if my back were going to tear apart.

I struggled to sit up, and crawled to a corner of the cell, before resting my back lightly against the stone wall, enduring the pain of pulling at my wounds.

The tears that had initially dried up instantly started falling again, streaming down from my cheeks and to my jaws.

I hiccupped, curled into myself, held my face in my hands and cried my eyes out.

Where was Raymond? Why was he not here yet?

I had only spent a single day here and I already felt so overwhelmed and exhausted.

“Why?” I wondered out loud with quivering lips. “Why is the moon goddess doing this to me? Does she not want me to be happy?”

I had never thought about getting revenge, and decided to spend the rest of my life with Raymond, satisfied. Yet, the moon goddess decided to send me back here.

Why? Does she like for me to suffer so much
