Chapter 18. Tracking a New Bully
I was awakened by the sound of voices laughing softly. I groaned slightly as my eyes opened and began to focus. I found myself on the couch in my living room. Sitting up, I rubbed my eyes.
“Oh, I wish I saw the look on your father’s face when he saw you at the door,” I heard Jessica laughing in the kitchen.
“Good for you for facing him, man,” Tommy said, followed by the sound of bottles clinking together. I got up and headed to the kitchen.
“Well, if I want to stay here with Edgar, I need to face him eventually. I was worried Edgar was going to have a hernia because he was trying so hard to hide me,” Austin chuckled.
“You two make a cute couple,” Joshua said just as I walked in.
“So, you three are not surprised by our relationship’s development?” I asked, crossing my arms over my chest. The four of them all avoided my gaze.
