Mitchell watched as the sun rose above the clouds.
Finally, the day was here. And as she watched the sunrise, she recalled how many times she had actually watched the sun rising from her office in Bay Fair. She closed her eyes as glimpses of her little town flooded her brain. The lovely stately homes bordered by flowers in distinctive colors and blossoms, the endless roads, cerulean blue skies, and the unassuming familiarity its people adopted. Even with the scourge and savagery of driyns, the complexities of politics, and the sting of hierarchies, The town prospered greatly.
She wasn’t just here to prosecute Kylian Bassett. She was here for her town — Bay Fair. She was a representative. Up until the recent driyn attacks, Bay Fair had not been in the news before.
