Mitchell jotted some things from the article she had just read into an A4 paper and clicked on the picture above the article. She snapped it with her phone, exited the web page, and began sourcing for more information.

“Mitchell?” Lily peeked into the office with files in her hand.

Mitchell raised her head from her laptop, where she was reading about a particular man whom she was up against. Mitchell had known from law school to always know as much as possible about the person she was up against. No information was too small in a case. Every piece of information was as crucial as the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.

She had resumed work on the Monday morning of that week — which was three days before — to find three cases already waiting for her to handle. The clients specifically requested that she handled the case. And she was looking at the most urgent one.
