Myles POV

“Enjoy your new home.”

The detective sneered as he dared to shove me into the police cell.

“I’ll soon be out of here, Detective. You’re stupid not to know that.” I replied calmly.

“We’ve got evidence of your dealings with Hector! You’re involved with the drug lord until you decide to steal his precious cargo! Your ass is busted, Myles!” He spoke with so much conviction.

“We’ll see about that,” I muttered unblinkingly.

He hesitated as if he was thinking of another snappy remark to make, but then he turned and walked off. I knew it was a matter of minutes before someone came for me. Whatever evidence Davies was convinced he had was all fake because I’d never worked with any drug dealer before, let alone Hector.
