Serena POV

I didn’t know how I was supposed to react to all of that, so I just stood in silence and stared at the house in awe.

The house was almost in size as the Voss Mansion, and I could see that Myles was taking security really, really seriously. There were lots of men on the property, just like they had at the Voss Mansion, and they were all armed as well. The house was surrounded by a gate made of iron rails with a security post right next to the gate.

“These are men from Geldings.” He nudged towards the nearest man. “The best security firm you can find in the state.”

In response, the man bowed slightly at me before returning to his duty.

“What? Cat got your tongue?” Myles chuckled lightly and then took my hand. “Come on. I need to show you something.”
