Myles POV

I was beginning to know Serena too well to be able to deduce that she was suspicious. She knew there was something I didn’t want Knox discussing in front of her.

“You should explore the house,” I said, handing over the keys to her. “All you lost at the other house has already been replaced. You’ll love it here.”

Her eyes searched my face silently for a while, and then she snatched the key from my hand and headed towards the door.

“Feisty one, isn’t she?” Knox chuckled.

“This way.” I led him through the garage doors and out of Serena’s hearing range so we could talk in peace.

“Look at that beauty.” Knox whistled. “How much was this beast worth?”

“I never knew you liked Cars,” I said, leaning on the car with my arms folded across my chest.

“I don’t.” He replied while his eyes scanned the body of the jeep. “But this one... this is no ordinary car, Myles. You’re going to make this your main ride or something?”

“No.”
