Chapter 8. Them

Gwendolyn was busy tasting food; she should be there with Evander, but knowing their fathers, she was sure they hadn’t told him about this again. She glanced at Renji, who was busy talking to the manager. Gwen sighed and continued with her work when the door suddenly barged open, revealing a furious Evander. 

‘What is he doing here? How did he know I was here?’ Gwen thought.

Evander looked at her, then at Renji’s location. She looked at him, confused and was about to ask when his friends suddenly appeared behind him and pulled him out of the store. 

‘Okay? What was that? It’s weird,’ Gwendolyn thought. When they returned, Evander was looking at her calmly now, unlike earlier. Gwendolyn lost the chance to speak once again when Evander dragged her out and pushed her inside his car. She was confused about this sudden turn of events, and she saw Renji being dragged away by Evander’s friends as well.
