Chapter 138. A Spark?

Issahil's POV

Amari's lips curved into a smirk. “Hell yeah,” she said, her voice laced with a dangerous excitement. “In fact, the pack that attacked you is the same one that destroyed mine and killed my family. Moonville pack… I barely escaped alive from them. I was only thirteen at the time…” 

For a brief second, an emotion stirred in her soulless eyes making it appear less soulless but it disappeared in the next second. “This is my chance for vengeance, too.” 

My heart pounded. The fire in her eyes was exactly what my pack needed and I could see it playing in the eyes of the members of her pack as well. She had instilled her spirit in them. 

“Then welcome to our pack,” I said, extending my hand this time for a handshake. She took it in a firm grip.

Arrangements were immediately made for her and her pack to settle with us in the manor pack house, and I instructed my Beta, Elijah, specifically to help them get settled.
