Chapter 155. The Stench of Death

Issahil's POV

The rogue pack's camp was nestled in a clearing of a dense forest, surrounded by thick trees and underbrush. Fires flickered, casting eerie shadows across the ground. I could hear the low murmurs of the rogues, unaware of the danger that was closing in on them.

My heart was heacy and pounding violently against my ribcage and I could feel the sickening feeling of anxiety in my stomach. 

This was a battle unlike any I'd been in before. I had to kill, something I had never done before in my life. Would I be able to pull it off? I wondered. 

I signalled for my team to spread out as soon as we were inside and we surrounded the camp, positioning ourselves for the attack. 

With a nod from me, we moved in. The rogues were relaxed, some lounging around the fires, others patrolling the perimeter so carefreely.
