Chapter 184. The Official Mating Ball

A date was fixed for my official mating ball with Alpha Matthias and the night soon arrived. I stood in front of the ornate full-length mirror, surrounded by a handful of pack females bustling about, helping me get dressed in my ceremonial gown. 

The dress was a deep sapphire blue, a color that matched the midnight sky. It was adorned with intricate silver embroidery that shimmered in the candlelight. The fabric clung to my form, highlighting my figure, before flowing down in elegant waves to the floor. The sleeves were long and fitted, with delicate lace trimming the cuffs. Around my waist, a silver belt cinched the gown, emphasizing my curves. 

The final touch was a silver crown, encrusted with tiny sapphires, resting gently on my brow. It was a symbol of my status as Luna, both of my own pack, Moonville Pack and, soon, of the Cloudfall Pack as well.

I took a deep breath, trying to steady my racing heart. Tonight was
