It was immediately clear to me that the beauty before me lacked experience from how clumsy that brief kiss from her had been. It excited me though, this knowledge. But then, I knew that if she indeed lacked experience like it seemed, I had to take my time with her so that I didn't scare her.

Her eyes searching mine held a twinkle and an innocence I wanted to protect. It made me curious though, if she was the naive girl that she was, why had she been at that pub? Why had she gotten so drunk?

I didn't even want to imagine what could have happened to her if I hadn't been at that pub at that exact moment…if I hadn't saved her from those men.

Just the thought that they would have taken advantage of her…taken her innocence by force, made my stomach churn. Thank goodness I had been there to save her!
