Chapter 72. Missing

Issahil's POV

Clearing my throat awkwardly, I pulled myself up to my feet. “Got it."

I wasn't going to give in. I was only going to get hurt again if I did. Some other woman was just going to come between us, create misunderstandings and pull us apart so why try?

He stepped back, positioning and we continued, the sparring intensifying.

I didn't know if it was deliberate but as we sparred, his hands seemed to always find it's way to graze my skin.

When he corrected my stance once, his fingers trailed lightly along my arms, leaving a trail of warmth... Oh mother of the moon! Why did his touch still bring me warmth? I had to hold myself back from leaning in towards him to enjoy his warmth longer.

When we got entangled in a rather intense grapple, we both ended up tumbling to the ground and Alpha Matthias ended up on top of me, our faces inches apart.
