“I am definitely going,” I said and a hint of disapproval spread across his face but he reluctantly nodded when I kept my gaze fixed on him intently. 

“I am going too!” Alpha Matthias chipped in and Caleb smirked as he turned to him.

“Fine then but don't expect me to watch your back or anything like that…”

I interrupted. “No Caleb, this isn't how this is going to go.” He turned to me. “If we are doing this, we do it as a team and that means we watch each other's back.”

He frowned. “So, you expect me to watch the back of my love rival?”

“Love rival? What are you saying?” I scoffed in disbelief. 

“Exactly what you just heard. He likes you, clearly and I like you too.”

“You don't even know me.” I couldn't help but point out. Who confesses to a person they don't even know? “And besides, I don't like you.”
