Chapter 21

While I walked down to Brenda’s house after meeting Jason on the way, I wondered when our brawl was going to be over. If not for anything, but at least for the common interest and duty we both had towards our pack. But I realized I had no control over my feelings, not when it comes to Brenda. I had tried to overlook her relationship with Jason, but I could not deny the fact that they were alarmingly too close. I can’t put up with that. Yet, I still do not have the right to dictate who should be with whom. For crying out loud, why can’t Jason fall in love with someone else!?

I stopped in front of her door and took a deep breath before knocking. I heard her footsteps approaching, and I waited with my hands behind my back.

“Jason, did you forget anything?” She asked as she opened the door before looking up.

“Dominick, it’s you,” she stuttered when she saw it was me, her bulging eyes blinking rapidly. It was obvious she was not expecting me.

“I hope you have plan
