Chapter 29

“How was last night?” I look at her, wondering. She starts walking around, picking up things from the party last night. I laugh at her.

“Stop cleaning. Jackson paid for cleaners to be here at ten-thirty. So, in about five minutes, they will be here, plus I have been cleaning while the twins ate. If we keep going, he paid them for nothing.” It makes no sense why he paid for a company to come and clean up after the party. I found myself cleaning while the girls ate and have so much done already. If we continue, they will have nothing to do, and I won’t want them thinking they had to pay us back.

“A cleaner, really? Last night was okay. Helen was out all night at a conference, so it was just Liam and me.”

I can’t help but smile. They seem inseparable these days. They deserve some space, their own place, which gives me the perfect idea. I will wait and ask Jackson later before the meeting starts.
