Chapter 8. Guilty
Jackson’s hands untying mine. My arms drop down. As he removes the blindfold, his eyes look straight into mine. I feel awful. I feel like I have hurt him in the worst possible way ever. His hands wrap around me. carrying me to the bed. Laying me down, he sits next to me, his hand stroking across my body.
“Well, that didn’t go to plan. We didn’t even get to do half the stuff I’d planned.” His voice is quiet. He is smiling. How can he be smiling at me after that?
“I am sorry.” I feel awful. I’ve always been able to finish at his command. Tonight, though, I couldn’t yet right after that, Marcus’s words were the ones to make me finish.
“Don’t be. I understand, Alena. Sometimes you might need him, and I won’t say no. I wouldn’t leave you like that just because you needed him.” His lips press against mine, his smile soft and gentle. He means it.
