Chapter 37
Weaving in and out of the crowd, he followed the smell until it led to a person. When he saw the person that the trail led to, he doubted his olfactory receptors and circled back to double-check. Even after that, it still led him to the same person. Yes, the guy at the table was the mutt they were looking for. He didn’t seem like a werewolf.
He was the kind of the less prepossessing werewolf. He didn’t look any scary. He had blond hair, a slender, and a scrubbed, wholesome face - that of a quintessential college kid. He looked familiar, but Alex had no time to commit all the photos in the Pack’s dossiers to his memory. But Alex knew that it wasn’t his first time seeing this face. It didn’t matter who he was. It only mattered that he was here.
A flash of rage burst inside him. So this was the mutt causing all the trouble? Recklessly killing in their backyard? This baby-faced brat had the Pack all in a panic, looking over their shoulders for guns and racing across the town
