Chapter 41
She left the two women on the walkway. There were people all over the place, but she didn’t look to see who they were. There would be no time for that. Instead, she followed Alex into the old abandoned House. When he shut the door behind her, everything seemed to come into focus.
She was standing in front of him for the first time in two years.
Alone.
Her pulse quickened, but she didn’t lower her head. She didn’t feel the need as she did with so many men she met, and it had to be due to who Alex was to her...or what he could be.
Gods, she hoped she wasn’t making the wrong decision by accepting his invitation and sneaking out here.

“You’d better not.” she snapped.
