Chapter 10

Confusion covered the features of her face and she chuckled lowly. “Forgive me for asking, but you have lived in this house all your life, why would you want a tour?” 

I smiled nervously and tried to come up with something. “I, um–I’m bored and I’m in the mood for a tour, is that a crime?” I shrugged lightly. 

“Certainly not, my lady.” The omega smiled pleasantly. “Would you like us to start the tour now?” 

I nodded and continued walking down the stairs until I was at the bottom. She followed me carefully. “Yeah, why not? But could we please stop by the kitchen first? I would like a snack.” 

The omega snorted a laugh and I raised an eyebrow questioningly. “Did I say something funny?” 

“No. I’m sorry, my lady. Um, please don’t get me fired,” She begged. “It just took me by surprise. You never have snacks. You have shied away from sugar since you were fifteen.” 

“Really?” I was not expecting that. Who on earth didn’t like snac
