Being vengeful was exhausting. Being angry all the time was draining. It was also quite the opposite of fun. But was I willing to let all that go? Was I willing to entertain the idea of forgiveness?
I looked Jade in his eyes and asked him, “Have you forgiven Chad and his family for what they allowed to happen to your mom?”
He seemed taken aback. He swallowed and then shook his head. “Now, that’s not fair. It’s different.”
