I scoffed in disbelief as I stared at my supposed mother. “You have to be kidding me? Weren’t you packing your things yesterday after you and dad yelled in each other’s faces?” 

“Katara!” My supposed father scolded me. “What has gotten into you? Gosh, I’m starting to believe you’re on dr**s or something.” 

“Probably got hooked because of that stray dog. Maybe that’s why she has been spending time with him,” My supposed mother added as she stared at me daringly.
