The guard then stood upright and Jade gave me a look. “Do you two need something?” He asked us, and I shook my head. 

“No, no, no.” I forced a chuckle. 

“Yeah, because you two are still standing here and staring at me weirdly as if you want something.” The guard pointed out as he folded his strong arms on his chest. “If there is a question, I would be happy to answer it. I am of service, don’t be shy.” 

“Uh, no sir. Thank you though,” Jade said to the guard and then pulled me aside gently. We then walked into the compound, past the main gate. 

Once we were in, I started to laugh freely. “I literally thought we had been caught; that my supposed mom had told the guards not to let you in.”
