“Don’t flatter yourself, Sam. Tell her the name or not.”
A few seconds passed and Sam spoke again. “It’s my wife. She has leukemia. It’s stage four and there is not much that the doctors in the town can do.” He sounded very vulnerable and that broke my heart.
Even though I saw him as some kind of enemy, it did not mean that I was a robot and could not feel things.
“Oh,” My mom mumbled. “Okay, then.” Her voice regained its strength. “Your offer is accepted. Right, Lucia?” She referred me.
I cleared my throat. “Yes, we accepted the offer. We do, right?” I glanced at Jade and he nodded firmly.
“Very well, set them free,” Sam told the two betas and they got to work by opening the cells.
“Wait, you were serious?” Chad was taken aback. “These people are criminals; con artists. They freed all your prisoners
