Chapter 66

“Hey!” A voice sounded from behind me, causing me to almost have a heart attack as I jumped away.

When I turned in the direction of the voice, I saw that it was a guy. He looked like he was middle-aged. He had a cap on his head and some weak wrinkles on his face. His voice was deep and in his hand was a torch.

He then directed it at me, blinding me with light. “Who are you, and what are you doing here?” He asked loudly as he walked closer to me tentatively.

“Please…help me,” I cried as I shielded my eyes from the light from the torch.

“Oh my god, are you bleeding? You’re covered with blood.” He was right next to me now. He took the light from my face and examined my arms and parts of my body that was exposed, looking for any wounds or cuts. “Are you hurt?” Concern laced his voice.
