Chapter 24

Clary woke up with a ringing in her head. Her throat felt dry and her mouth had a weird taste that she could not explain. The first thing she saw was the ceiling, she was laying on a bed; a not-so-big one. 

“She’s awake,” Someone said. “Get the doctor, she’s awake,” The person continued.

Clary groaned lowly as she looked in the direction of the voice. She realized that it was her mom. And the person who went to get the doctor was Levi. “Where am I?” She croaked out. 

Her mom flashed her a small smile. “You’re in a hospital, dear. You lost consciousness,” She explained. 

Clary was confused, but her mind began to bring her memories back to life in seconds, causing her to remember everything. “I-I don’t understand. I was fine one second and then in the next, it was like I had drank a dozen bottles of alcohol.”

“Yeah, I was there. It was sudden and very scary. But I’m sure you’re fine,” Sarah said to her daughter. She watched her on the bed and stil
