Chapter 22

The blade is so close to my throat that it would poke my skin if I exhale too hard. My heart is beating out of my chest and I am staring right into the eyes of Bunny as she holds me hostage. 

She has a hard look on her face that dares me to tempt her into using her weapon. 

“Wait, wait!” Lara jumps in quickly as she begs Bunny put down her blade. “He is here to see me!” She blurts out and Bunny scoffs as her grip on the weapon tightens.

“You’re lying Lara, I can see it all over your face,” She replies as she rolls her eyes.

“Please Bunny…” Lara pleads with her. “Just let him go.”

“Tell me the goddamn truth!” The blade gently scapes against my Adam’s apple and I feel a sharpness that stings me for a second. I am pretty sure I might be bleeding a bit now.

“Okay!” Lara says loudly when she sees the small smear of blood on the blade’s edge. “I am as clueless as you as to why Ashton is here right now, he isn’t supposed to be here for another month.”
