Chapter 117

I approached the couch that Ashton was sitting on and I sat next to him. Zayn was sitting on the other side of him. Being close up to him revealed from his eyes that he not only had been crying but also not sleeping too. 

“Ashton, can you tell us what’s wrong? Why are you not okay?” I asked as I reached for his hand. He smiled faintly when my hand wrapped around his.

“I literally threw her things out, Lara. How could I not have noticed that she was not okay mentally?” 

“I mean, the chasing and almost choking me to death was a start,” I joked, and Zayn stifled his laugh while Ashton glared at me, though I could see that he wanted to laugh. His lips wanted to break into a smile.
