Alex grabbed a glass of water and gulped down the entire thing in seconds. He then turned to me. “I’m so sorry about my son. It’s just that he has had a rough couple of months.” He forced a smile but sadness still lingered in his eyes.
I could see that he was truly blaming himself for the death of his wife. And I felt bad for him. I wanted more information but I knew that it was not my place to ask so I stayed quiet.
“And he’s also being bullied at school for not being able to shift into his wolf, so, yeah. It has been a rough couple of months.” Alex continued and I inhaled sharply. I was taken aback by the additional information.
