Chapter 120

The warm wind blew in my face and sweat covered my skin as I ran. The muscles in my legs were at work as they helped me move at a fast pace. My heart was pounding in my chest and my throat was getting dryer with each second. 

As soon as I turned on my block, I felt a sense of motivation because that meant that I was almost home. I did not slow down, I impressively maintained the pace I was at until I was only a few feet away from home. 

I finally decided to wind down by jogging and then in a few seconds, I started walking. As I walked to the mansion, I heard a loud noise and I looked behind me immediately. I was startled and fear gripped my heart. 

It was a speeding car. 

The car looked like a sports car and was bright yellow. It sped right at me and I nearly got hurt as I jumped off the sidewalk and into some bushes. 

The car came to a stop and a kid got down. He had dark-brown hair and a nonchalant look. 

“What the hell?”
