Chapter 119

The midwife's voice was really starting to annoy the hell out of me. She kept telling me to push, but only if she knew the pain and discomfort that I was in. My lower back felt like it was being hit over and over by a baseball bat. 

“Oh, you’re doing so good honey. One more big push!” The midwife said calmly. 

I felt out of breath and my body was covered in sweat. Zayn was right next to me and from how I was squeezing his hand, I knew that the doctor would have to take a look at it after everything. 

I was crushing his bones but he only muttered words of encouragement. 

The birth was truly a magical and surreal experience, but it was so exhausting and filled with pain that I was starting to forget the magical part. 

“Oh, nice. Your baby’s crowning, dear,” The midwife continued. “It means I can see your baby’s head,” She clarified and I let out a small happy laugh.
