Chapter 147

After twenty-four hours had passed, Liam and I were taken into an interrogation room together. We were handcuffed and all our belongings were taken away from us. Detective Stone sat across from us with a tight frown on her face. 

The room was square and had a high ceiling. I think there was a heater in here because the air was a bit warm. There was no window so I could not tell whether it was snowing out or not. But my guess was that it was. 

I was getting a bit tired of smelling the detective’s perfume. I was exhausted and did not have a good night's sleep. I just wanted to go home. She told us that we were going to be allowed to see our family and friends, but that had not been the case.

I have not seen or talked to anyone other than her and a few guards since I was brought here.
