Chapter 22

My head bled when I touched it. I turned back to see what was happening. I then found the same man who had helped me from the club, moving slowly toward me. He grinned after seeing me panicking.

“You! Did you push me?” I held my hand on the tree to get up.

“Yes, my dear, I did this to you,” he continued to move in my direction. “You’re the one I was sent to kill,” he said later on in the heat of the moment.

“Kill? Why would you want to kill me?” I questioned.

I tried to pull back, however I ended up hitting my back against the tree, watching as he continued to get closer to me.
