Chapter 29
I barely made it to my dorm. I thought I’d find Lulu back, but the room was empty. She must have still been in class, or better yet, talking to some guy.
I pulled off my entire clothes, and I walked into the bathroom naked. I turned the water of the shower on and sat down on the ground, allowing the water to pour down on me.
But the feeling—the dizziness I felt—continued to increase. It felt like something was trying to plunge through my heart, and the pain gradually grew bigger. I fell completely to the ground and began to scream.
The water did not seem to be helping. I turned it off and hurried into the room. I searched for my phone; I wanted to call Lulu, since she was the only one close to me. I saw my phone on the bed. I walked there, and as I picked up the phone, I fell back down on the ground, and my eyes fell asleep too.
“Elisabeth, you okay?” I heard a distant voice—Lulu’s voice—calling me back.
