Chapter 18. Friendly Dinner
She typed away at her computer, casually sipping her coffee from time to time. It was a Monday, and Bushra had a lot to do. She had a meeting with her colleagues and a meeting with a new client and needed to set up a new account for them. The work kept piling up.
There was that feeling in her stomach again, a mixture of nausea and electric tingles. Her head began to buzz, and her heart rate increased as if she were running away. Work lay ahead. Even though she was already working, it felt more like a sloth taking a walk.
She sipped her coffee again and placed the mug on the table. Getting to her feet, she adjusted her blazer before stepping out of the office with everything she needed for her first meeting.
