Chapter 14. Separated

Stefan’s POV

I hurry with Snow into my chambers and slam the door shut, pacing back and forth in my room like a madman. I can’t believe what I just witnessed. Why is this bullshit happening to me? How the hell can someone from the East be mated to someone from the North anyways? This has to be some sick joke, a mistake.

Snow can’t be Kol’s mate. After an entire life of sadness, of living in my brother’s shadow, she is the one thing I have that brings me happiness. And even now, she is being taken away from me. I love her, and this is not fair.

“Stefan. Stefan, please, you need to calm down,” Snow says, and I stop in my tracks as I stare at her small body seated on my bed.
